1c. Application and Enrolment (Academic Courses)
All applications for academic courses in UK are made through the UCAS system - http://www.ucas.com/

Applications outside of this system may only be considered during the Clearing period. Applications for academic courses outside UK are made directly to the SSR Campus. All academic courses have entry requirements.

2. Application fees (Industry Courses)
The application fee is not refundable under any circumstances, (unless the course applied for is cancelled by SSR). It may be possible, entirely at the discretion of SSR, to transfer the application fee to another course.

3a. Course fees (Industry Courses and Academic)
All course fees are payable in advance and non-refundable. Students must pay course fees regardless of non-attendance. Students are not entitled to a refund of any fees irrespective of their attendance. Students are not entitled to a refund of any fees irrespective of early withdrawal from the course, unless this is on medical grounds and evidence is provided, and any refund is at the discretion of SSR. Students are not entitled to a refund of any fees if they are withdrawn from the course by SSR for disciplinary reasons.

Students must inform SSR in writing if they wish to withdraw from the course.

If SSR cancels the course prior to the start date, students will be entitled to a refund of any course fees paid and the application fee.

If SSR cancels the course after the start date, students will be entitled to a partial refund of course fees paid. The refund amount will be for fees paid for the remainder of the course that was not delivered

3b. Course fees (Short Courses)
All course fees are payable in advance and non-refundable.

If SSR cancels the course, students will be entitled to a refund of the course fees.

3c. Course fees (Academic)
For academic courses, terms and conditions are set by the validating University and the student loan company (http://www.gov.uk/student-finance/overview). Please visit the relevant University website for details.

4a. Payment of fees – Single payments
Any student wishing to pay the full fees in advance will receive a discount on the total fees if this amount is paid prior to the course commencement date or on the day of the course induction.

4a. Payment of fees – Instalments
Course fees may be paid through an instalment plan. Details of these can be found on the SSR website.
Late payment of an instalment will result in access to SSR facilities being withdrawn until all outstanding fees are received. Course fees which are overdue by two or more weeks will result in the student being suspended from the Course until fees are paid in full. If at the time of leaving a course, if the student still owes fees up that date, these fees must be paid off. If no installment fees are owing at the time of the student giving written notice of leaving the course, no further installment payments for that course need be made (unless the students decided to rejoin the course at any point).

5. Change Policy
Any change to the agreed course, including dates, times, content, is arranged at the sole discretion of SSR. Students will be given as much notice as possible in the event of changes being made.

6. Student Code of Conduct
Students are expected to abide by SSR’s rules and regulations as set out in the Student Handbook which is provided to each student at induction and is also available online, and upon request through the main office.
At induction students will be required to sign an agreement of terms and conditions to acknowledge acceptance of the Code of Conduct. This also includes an Equal Opportunities Statement.
Students will not be accepted into a class unless the Agreement has been signed. Failure to sign the agreement will result in immediate termination of the course, with no refunds due and no credit available for any other course or service.

7. Absence from Course
In addition to the required coursework and grades (where applicable) a minimum attendance rate of 80% is expected to gain SSR certification.
In the event of prolonged absence and/or continued lateness, SSR reserves the right to withdraw a student from the course (no refund given).

8. Access to the Premises
SSR reserves the right to refuse access to the premises to unauthorised visitors or anyone found to be in breach of the Code of Conduct (6).

9. Intellectual Property
All course materials (including, but not limited to, lesson resources, samples, presets, examples, tutorials and recordings) are protected by copyright and belong to SSR and to the respective owners.
Students retain full ownership and copyright of any work created during the course, with the exception of work based (or partially based or derivative) on the material described above, and in the case of work based on exercises jointly developed with members of SSR staff, in which case the copyright is assigned entirely to SSR unless a separate agreement is reached between the parts involved.
Students agree not to engage in any activity that might knowingly breach copyright or be subject to criminal prosecution.

9. Miscellaneous
SSR reserves the right to change these terms and conditions as well as course names, details, content, length and times without notice. Any such changes will promptly be made available on the SSR website and from that moment become effective.
SSR and its staff cannot be held liable for any damages or loss incurred as a consequence of a course cancellation or change (including but not limited to: change of course content, class times and dates).
The opinions expressed by SSR staff during the lecture are not necessarily those of SSR and cannot be quoted as such.
SSR will not make public use of a student's name provided a specific request is received in writing at the time of induction. Students and their guests will not object to the use of their work, likeness and name used in the representation of the school's activities for promotional purposes in any media.
Students are responsible for their guests’ understanding and accepting to abide by the same terms and conditions where applicable, for the length of their stay on the premises.

10. Application and Enrolment (Industry Courses and Short Courses) for Non-EU Students applying to UK campuses
It is the student's responsibility to make sure that all the conditions necessary to enter the UK are satisfied.
The course and application fees must be paid in full before SSR can issue any statement confirming student status (by email, letter or any other form).
The minimum time frame for payment of the course and application fees is 84 days (12 weeks) ahead of the scheduled start of the course.
If a student is unsuccessful in obtaining a VISA, SSR must be informed in writing at least 2 weeks before the course start date. Under these circumstances the student will receive a full refund minus the application fee, any card processing fees and any extra admin charges that may have been incurred.
Refund applications will only be considered if sent in writing through registered mail.
Students who wish to withdraw and apply for a refund for any other reason other than VISA refusal must do so within 28 calendar days before the course is due to start. After this time no refund will be given, although it may be possible to defer that start date to a later time or to another course.
Unless otherwise specified, 'refund' means the full amount paid minus the application fee and any eventual bank, card processing, or reseller fee.
Refunds can only be issued to the bank account / credit card from which the original payment was made.
A student changing the start date of a course will not incur additional charges, providing the request is received in writing at least 28 days prior to the start of the course and no other change has been previously granted. Failing that, a request to change the starting date will qualify as a transfer.
Upgrades and transfers to any other courses incur a ‘Change Fee' equal to 20% of the value of the original course plus the difference between course fees if the new course is more expensive.
No refunds can be given when moving to a less expensive course, but the difference can be credited towards any other course (after deducting the Change Fee).
To comply with current legislation SSR must check the validity of Passport and VISA documents for students holding a Student Visitor VISA. Copies of these documents will remain with the school as part of the student’s file. Furthermore the student is responsible for ensuring that the contact details given to the school (UK address, email, mobile phone, etc.) are always correct and accurate. Failing to do so might ultimately result in early termination of the course and deportation.
Some courses have prerequisites. Applicants should ensure they meet these prerequisites before applying for these courses.
SSR reserves the right to reject an application without explanation.
SSR will closely monitor the student's attendance throughout their studies.
If the student's attendance proves to be unsatisfactory, SSR will inform the Home Office of their failure to comply with the terms of their VISA.
Further information on attendance terms and conditions will be given to the student after they are accepted onto a course.

11. Student Profiles on SSR Website
Students are responsible for the content of the individual student profile on the SSR website. SSR does not accept any liability for the content or accuracy of the profile. Students will ensure that the material submitted is not obscene, offensive, harassing, discriminatory, defamatory or otherwise illegal. Students will acknowledge that any breach of these warranties may cause SSR damage or loss, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless SSR in full and permanently against any third party liabilities, claims, costs, loss or damage incurred by SSR as a result of publishing any material submitted to the SSR website, including consequential loss.
Should SSR become aware of any activity that would be contrary to the Terms or determine in our sole discretion to be unacceptable, then SSR reserves the right to take action including temporary or permanent removal of content, filtering of internet transmissions and/or to exclude the student with immediate effect and, where necessary, forward any incriminating material in our possession to the UK police or other relevant authorities.

12. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
By accepting these terms and conditions you enter in to an agreement with SSR
